In 2008, Ortega opened Tinta Roja Projects, LLC, an arts/media shop based in Chicago and Barranquilla, Colombia to lead the Urban Interdisciplinary Arts scene in the Americas.

Local artists from Barranquilla are hosting a benefit concert for our brothers and sisters from Haiti, Sunday, Feb, 21st at 4pm at Plaza del La Paz, please bring can goods and non-perishables as donations. The Colombian Red Cross will be on hand to pick up the goods. The event features many local artists from the Hip Hop community and Rock/Punk scene. Live painting and many more activities.
